Oct 26, 2016 Some of my friends who recently updated their Mac to macOS Sierra have reported that Wi-Fi has become rather slow after the software update. It’s a minor issue which can be easily fixed with a few quick tips. Have you also faced with the slow WiFi issue after the macOS Sierra update? Follow these tips to speed up the ailing Wi-Fi on your Mac.
- Dec 17, 2019 From my experience 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi on Macs is broken beyond repair. If at all possible try using 5 GHz Wi-Fi (802.11ac), which should give you a much higher performance and a more reliable connectivity. Connected to my router's 5 GHz Wi-Fi my 2017 iMac can easily utilize the full 250 Mbps downstream my cable internet connection is capable of.
- Jul 07, 2017 I just installed Windows 10 on a new Boot Camp partition. Everything has installed, but I'm having issues with WiFi. It can connect to my phone's Hot Spot, which is how I'm typing this, but it can't connect to the home WiFi network, which the same machine has no problems with when running in OSX.
Hello,
I usually connect my macbook 3.1 in University's public network. When I run MacOS, I've no problem. But, when I use Windows (10), the network receiver seems really slow.
This happens only with my university's network.

Can you give us some more info here. Like what is the Mac OS version you are using, are you using BootCamp or some other VM service, How much memory do you have and how big is your HD and how much free space does it have.
It's MacOS 10.6.8. There are 4gb of RAM and 128gb of an SSD ROM. Windows 10 is installed via bootcamp.
My opinion is that network's settings are not appropriate.
How much free space is on your 128 SSD? That will have a big bearing here.
FYI I snipped your personal data from your network info as you don't want that out in the wild ;-}
